Concrete Finisher

Davis Custom Concrete, based out of Ryland Heights, Kentucky, is currently seeking a full-time, trustworthy, self-motivated and experienced concrete finisher to join our team.

Our work consists of decorative color, traditional and stamped concrete, basement and garage floors, driveways and sidewalks to retaining walls, footers and small foundations. We are one of a few construction companies that keeps our employees working 99% of the year, including winter season. We care for our employees and only hire people who care.

Basic Duties

  • Must be able to multi-task in a fast-paced, time-sensitive, ever-changing enviornment, consisting of a wide variety of weather conditions
  • Load trucks, equipment, material, etc.
  • Follow instructions/assist foremen
  • Tear out, grade, form, steel, pour, finish and wreck concrete
  • Rake, screed, float, trowel, edge, cut joints, etc.
  • Operate trowel machine
  • Maintain cleanliness of tools, equipment, enviornment, etc.
  • Meet highest safety/quality standards
  • Heavy labor required

Requirements

  • Must have valid driver's license with clean driving record
  • 3-5 years experience (preferred)
  • In depth knowledge of concrete forming, pouring and finishing processes
  • Experience operating bobcat, mini excavator a plus
  • Complex design/build/troubleshooting skills a plus
  • Ability to haul heavy equipment and/or drive dump truck a plus
  • CDL a definite plus
  • Strict attention to detail
  • Basic knowledge of GPS navigation systems
  • Cell Phone for daily communication
